Through a network of over 380 points of presence, Elders provides farmers in Australia and New Zealand with an integrated service offering for successful farming that extends from the supply of financial services and farm inputs to the marketing and sale of farm outputs.
In a history of service extending for 170 years, Elders has built leading market positions in most of the areas it services and is growing market share in new products added to its service offering. Elders' product areas include:
- Cropping - Elders is one of the largest suppliers of cropping inputs including ag chem, fertiliser and general farm needs. Through the Elders Toepfer Grain joint venture we combine Elders grower relationships with the expertise of Toepfer International, one of the world’s major grain houses.
- Sheep & Cattle - Elders is Australia’s largest livestock agent and a major supplier of meat and livestock to domestic and international customers. Elders is also the worlds largest broker of greasy wool, linking Australian growers with mills throughout the world.
- Dairy - As Australia’s largest dairy cattle exporter, Elders provides dairy farmers access to the live export market in any state through our nation-wide network of branches.
- Horticulture - Elders plays a major role in the horticulture industry working with growers of temperature and tropical fruits, vegetables, nut crops, table and wine grapes, cut flowers and nursery plants across Australia.
- Financial Services - Elders can offer a range of banking products through our partnership with Rural Bank and a range of insurance products through Elders Insurance.
- Real Estate - Elders Real Estate is Australia’s largest agent of broadacre property and is Australia’s largest regional property manager.
HiFert is one of Australia's largest fertiliser manufacturers and distributors, with an extensive distribution network covering eastern Australia. Elders holds a 50% shareholding in HiFert.
