Partnerships

Elders is working to establish effective partnerships with organisations which share its values. In 2006 Elders established a significant partnership with Landcare Australia with $2.5 million in corporate support to be provided over 5 years; the largest partnership of its kind undertaken by either organisation. The Elders Landcare Farming Partnership is designed to promote environmental sustainability amongst Australian farmers.

The partnership’s ambassador is Glenn McGrath, Australian cricketer and also an ambassador for Landcare Australia. With a rural background in NSW, Glenn is passionate about supporting the uptake of environmentally friendly practices by Australian farmers.

As part of this arrangement, Elders is also proud to be supporting the McGrath Foundation, a charity formed by Glenn and his late wife Jane. The Elders network of branches around Australia are all keen to support the Foundation, with all monies raised going towards the employment of rural and regional breast cancer care nurses.
